Bill Elliott’s last season racing for father George Elliott came in the blue #9 Ford Thunderbird sponsored by Mell-Gear.  This is considered Bill’s fourth race car in Winston Cup racing.  Bill competed in 13 Winston Cup races in the 1981 season, recording seven top-10 finishes.
